The 2.5VM Factory Diesel Engine in the Jeep Cherokee XJ, 425OHV Pros, Cons, Overview, Mods

This video was meant to go up yesterday but there were some technical difficulties with YouTube.
My 1999 Jeep Cherokee XJ was one of the Factory 2.5vm Turbo Diesels that was exported to the UK in RHD. In this video i do a brief overview of the engine, mainly the top end, looking at its pros and cons and also some of the slight changes I have made to my engine to gain more power and reliability.
The engine came in a range of different vehicles and had a relatively poor reputation due to a few issues with its original cylinder heads. Sadly bad reputations are hard to shift but over all I think the engine has some strong positives and it has served me very well over many long and short trips around Europe in a range of extreme temperatures.
In this video I go over a lot of details and its probably one for the enthusiasts. I am preparing for some drastic modifications to the engine bay which may involve manifold fabrication and custom intercooler piping. Stay tuned for more episodes and thanks again for watching.
