What's Inside Hard Drives - Platinum Platters

Platinum from hard drive platters, when did it stop?
It's debatable but i'm assuming it mostly happened when we went to 20GB and above HD's.

Platinum recovery should be great on the old 5 1/4 inch hard drives.
