We have a lot of challenges when we are trying to lose bodyfat and one of them is that our metabolisms start to slow down when we cut calories and eat less food. This is a natural response to a change in stimulus. The stimulus being the reduced amount of food coming in. Just like when we go outside on a sunny day, we might squint our eyes as a response to the bright light. That is our bodies response to a change in stimulus. Natural and normal.
There is a term out there called metabolic damage. Now we are trying to lose excess body fat to become fitter and healthier not to damage our bodies. Many of us who are training super hard cardio everyday, and we still can't lose a pound may feel like we suffer from this. But there are things we can do to turn things back around.
