Intermittent fasting does it work? Will it help you lose weight, build muscle, and is it right for you? There are two types of fasting and a unlimited amount of variations of them. They are time restricted feeding and periodic or alternate day fasting. The reason most people are attracted to intermittent fasting is that it helps them to lose weight without having them count calories. It does work at least in the short term. But you still need to eat healthy whole food choices with plenty of protein to support you lean mass. Exercise is also a must, but it doesn't matter if you do it fasted of not.
