You may know exactly how to reach your goal. But what good is it if you don't have the willpower to do what needs to be done?
People use a lot of different words to describe willpower, some would call it self-control or self discipline.
Willpower is the ability to resist short term temptations in order to meet long term goals. I don't know who said that first but I think that it is a great definition of willpower.
It might feel like willpower is an inner war between the good and evil in us. You have the evil side telling you to go ahead and skip your workout, you've had a hard day and you deserve to relax. it lives in the now.
Then there is the good side reminding you of the health benefits and your goal to live a healthier more fulfilling life and the only way that can happen is if you are consistent with your training.
