Hard Drives as Collectables or PM Recovery?

Vintage Hard Drives look great and are an interesting computer collectable.

H/D's are one of those items we get as scrappers and sometimes we get a good old that's too cool to scrap.

They aren't worth much yet so what does one do?
Stockpile a mountain of old hard drives in hope they turn out super valuable, or just keep a sampling and go for the precious metals on them great circuit boards?
