Picking up E Waste Commercially #1

Day to Day e-waste pick-up show & tell.

Whilst i've slowed down a little there's still no shortage of e-waste to be got.

This series is about me taking out some time in my day to show what I picked up from calls I get from businesses.

Small business recycling has it's limits, mostly because we usually do it as sole traders with basic equipment.

Next level would be dealing with over 10 Tonnes a week which really needs a factory set up with fork lift, large bins etc.
So at some point of your small recycling business you will need to expand or settle down to just what you can manage on your own.

In my experience, handling anything over 4 tonnes of e-waste per week will come back to bite you, it's a huge amount for one person to manually handle many times over, after a few years of doing it your back, arms, hands, fingers will suffer from over use so it's important to recognise your limits and not go overboard until you can afford to rent a small factory, machinery and employ people.
