Server Scrap - Dell Poweredge 2850

Gold recovery from server blades are pretty good as well as for selling some components like RAM, CPU's & Slot Cards.

Thought i'd do a series of server blade tear downs to get an idea what can be got from different models and brands.
buyer scrap servers from auction lots can be tricky because they weigh a lot in scrap steel and unless there's good ram or cpu's then it might be hard to make a profit, free is best off course.

First up is this Dell Poweredge 2850 with a huge motherboard but since it's so big and doesn't have a great deal for gold recovery the board might be best to just sell as scrap server board, just depends how far you go with precious metal recovery.
