U.S. Navy Circumvents Parents Rights

This week in Bahrain the Navy told sailors that the Navy talks to their children at the age of 12 about gender identity, sex, STD’s, pregnancy, and more, without notifying parents. When asked if "the Navy’s policy circumvents a parents right to know?" the U.S. Navy official answered "Yes".

Parent: So you're saying that you're, the minor child, someone who can't consent to anything, who's not a legal adult. You're saying that the minor child, they have, in the medical, quote unquote medical profession, has more rights than the parent over that child. That’s the Navy’s policy.

Navy Nurse Nichole Benson: I would encourage you to talk to your child.

That's not what I asked you, Ma'am. I’m asking you, according to this policy . . .

Navy Nurse Nichole Benson: Again, policy. I didn’t make it.

I'm not I'm not accusing you, Ma'am, I'm simply calling out the Navy that the policy gives more rights, or circumstance the parents right to know, is what you're saying. That's the Navy's official policy all right.

Navy Nurse Nichole Benson: Yes.
