Biden Under Investigation, But We Don't Need to Know

The Special Assistant to the President, Ian Sams Dodges, speaking with Alicia Menendez on MSNBC's American Voices, says that Biden was under investigation, but that wasn't something that needed to be disclosed to Americans.

Alicia Menendez: Well then let me ask you about the president's own words. He has said "No Regrets" on this matter. What does he mean when he says "no regrets"?

Ian Sams Dodges: Sure, I think it's really important to take the sound bite and understand the context. He was asked the question by a reporter about the disclosure publicly of this information. You know, I think that he was asked specifically, do you regret not disclosing this information to the public earlier. And I think that the answer, and of course he said that he had no regrets, and the answer is because he's been promptly, his team, his legal team has been promptly disclosing information to the proper authorities as a part of an ongoing investigation.

Joe Biden: (reading from card) Just hang on, okay? Look, as we found, we found a handful of documents were failed, were filed in the wrong place. We immediately turned them over to the Archives and Justice Department. We're fully cooperating and looking forward to getting this resolved quickly. I think you're going to find there's nothing there. I have no regrets. I'm following what the lawyers have told me they want me to do. It's exactly what we're doing. There's no there there. Thank you.
