Rep. Matt Rosendale rails against Congress's "broken system" which no longer represents the American people. He and others are standing against a Speaker of the House who is untrustworthy, and who will continue the same failed system. This speech was given during the 9th round of voting in the race for Speaker of the House on January 5, 2023.

Rep. Matt Rosendale: But unfortunately, over the past 15 years the process that we use has been dramatically broken. The voices that were sent here to equally, two equally, represent each of the 435 districts across this nation have become diminished. This through the consolidation of power into the hands of the Speaker and a fortunate few who happened to serve on the rules committee, which control every aspect of legislation that travels through this body. The debate and the discussion has been all but eliminated and the balance of us are left to vote 'Yes' or 'No'."
