WHY IS THE REACH SO LONG?!! Here is why, Bridge weight. Kenworth T800 Truck & Trailer Bridge Weight.

Why is the reach so long? Why is the trailer built like that? Why is the trailer tongue so long? Isnt that hard to drive? Those questions seem to be the most popular question on my last video. Along with these statements, "That trailer is ridiculous", "I wouldn’t waste my time with that trailer" and my favorite "I wouldn’t have bought such a stupid looking trailer.". These always make me laugh because I understand that they come from a place of never seeing trucks build like this before. Maybe someone lives in a state like California, where the maximum weight allowed is 80,000 Lbs. Maybe they come from the east cost were they take a 4 axle solo and gross 76,000 lbs. Either way here is why the trailer is set up this why. Yes, I drive trucks like this in downtown Seattle....lots of people do....There are hundreds if not a couple thousand trucks in the region built just like this.
