Ireland is the first European country Leila and I ever visited. We planned on launching our travel channel with this trip to ireland. Our timing was terrible. It was a mistake. We went around the entire island in just over a week, starting in Belfast. We learned about the Belfast Peace Wall and the Northern Ireland conflict, aka "The Troubles". Did you know hillbillies originated in Ireland? Neither did we. We were there during an election and met a candidate. We saw castles. Lots of Castles. Dunluce, Donegal, and Blarney to get started. Do you know how they named the Blarney castle? We also checked out the oldest bar in Ireland, the Brazenhead, met some super cool peope, and so, so much more.
