Pride is not a virtue. As Christian men and women, pride is NOT something we want to have in our hearts or demonstrate in our lives. Pride is so thick and so terrible within the heart of man that it is one of only three things the writer John needs to use to summarize all that mitigates against loving and serving God (1 John 2:15-17). Belshazzar was full of pride.
