Washington Gun Law President, William Kirk, takes a deep dive into the United States' opening memorandum in support of their attempt to reverse the decision of the 5th Circuit which found that 18 USC Sec. 922(g)(8) is unconstitutional. And while there may be a nice, but narrow lane, for the government to make an argument for reversal, instead the US has taken this opportunity to advocate for far more sweeping and broad powers to allow the Government to ban firearms from anyone that they believe to be "irresponsible."
