Stunted Development Vs Initiatory Manhood.

The odds against me as a young man were challenging, but they were nothing like the obstacles faced by the young people of today. I see so many petty little fifty-year-old men, feminine in affectation even if they are heterosexual, and I know a thousand factors, most not of their choosing, have made them that way. It reminds me of the fiftyish author I recently challenged who went into flight or fight death mode, and came after me as if his life depended on defaming me. The first thing out of his mouth was, "Don't you dare question my masculinity." If he were masculine, those words would never escape his lips. He is martial arts trained and works in law enforcement, and I'm sure he is "macho," but he is not a man . .. . yet. He will be a man when he can address a man decades his elder with a modicum of respect. Take a journey with me across the decades as I define what a man is.
