Let's Talk About Square Enix and Their Current Direction

Welcome to my long awaited rant on Square Enix and their current direction. In this video I discuss the rumor about Square Enix possibly moving away from their mid tier titles to focus primarily on AAA titles and why that is a terrible idea, Final Fantasy XVI's sales numbers (or lack thereof), and how Square Enix has abandoned their old school fans in pursuit of the "global audience." Despite all of this, I do have the Star Ocean 2 remake pre-ordered because that game looks great and hopefully it will send Square Enix a message that hardcore fans like myself want them to continue making more games like that, not Forspoken and Final Fantasy XVI.
