It's finally time for us to head into the fabled Black Forest or Schwarzwald, as the locals call it. Home of the world renowned Black Forest Gateaux, acre upon acre of dense forest and fiendishly changeable weather. I know what you're all thinking. "AMC, why has it not rained on you ONCE in this first 1000-odd km?". Well this is a valid question. So allow me to answer your question with a teaser. Is it finally time for me to get wet? Will I finally get to ride through the Schwarzwald without donning any kind of bikers S&M gear? Will I get lost and never be seen again save for the odd sighting of a crazed wild man in tattered leathers, on the late night local news?
