Hummingbird Moth

Please forgive the blurriness. It was nighttime and the moth was flying around so fast, it was hard to keep it focused and centered. But hopefully you can get a good idea of how fascinating this moth is. I've seen two hummingbird moths in the 16 yrs we've lived here and tonight my husband and I saw two (along with several hundred regular moths, all swarming the lilac bushes.) You can clearly see its proboscis at about 0:38 and again at 1:06.
