Jennifer Grossman’s Speech at YAL Revolution 2023

On August 12th, 2023 The Atlas Society's CEO Jennifer Grossman (JAG) addressed Young Americans for Liberty's "Revolution 23" conference in Orlando, Florida on the topic, "Girls Gone Woke: Why Young Women Need Ayn Rand." Not realizing that her talk would be received by an 80% male audience, the speech made for some spicy moments, which JAG defused with humor and firmness. Pointing to the polar political identifications of female and male 12th graders, JAG makes the case that Rand's literature can serve as a "gateway drug to liberty," introducing young female readers to epic stories, filled with female protagonists, written by a female author, conveying the moral case for capitalism, and celebrating the virtues of individualism, achievement and integrity.
