ISIS Power: The Consequences of US Withdrawal in Iraq
So some power is going to fill it whether it's the local warlord Steve or another nation-state stepping in Xi Jinping or Putin whoever How did ISIS come to be Not who sparked the idea but how did ISIS actually gain power The reason they gained power is because of the way Obama pulled us out of Iraq at the time and left behind the stuff left behind tons of vehicles tons of weapons By the way and there's a U.S jet in the air going all right let me do this Let me push a button Let me push a button I'm paraphrasing obviously I don't know pilot talk No they didn't get a green light ISIS could have been squished when there were like 50 guys and everybody knew about it America knew about it Everyone knew We could have done something but the politicians didn't let it happen We created a power vacuum We did that and then we wouldn't do anything about it That's the problem with our current administration is they create things whether they know that they're doing it or not and then they don't take the right action afterwards Well it's almost like they don't consider the second third fourth order effects from this stuff
