One of the signs of a mature believer is the ability to discern truth using the Bible as the foundation. This is a key part of the discipleship of new Christians...instead of feeding them milk for years and years of their walk, it becomes necessary to feed them meat as well even if that meat may consist of inconvenient truths that are hard to swallow.

While some may be gifted with discernment, others must take a deep dive into the Word to be able to properly discern things with a Biblical Worldview.
