January 4th, 2006... Ocala National Forest, FL... 2 overnight campers were fatally shot with an AK-47. The 2 were 26 year old John Parker, and 26 Year old Amber Peck from Gainesville, FL. Both had gunshot wounds their bodies, and one to the head.

The shootings happened on a Wednesday, and their bodies were not discovered until the following Saturday, when one of the victims parents went out to the forest to search for them...

By the following Tuesday, detectives had a lead on who might have committed this heinous crime... Thanks to a good Samaritan that gave a ride to a seemingly injured, Leo Boatman.

Conclusion

On July 30th, 2007, Leo Boatman was given to 2 99 year sentences in state prison for 99 years, 11 months and 28 days...
