Davy Crockett (not the frontiersman, but a distant relative) ran wild in the town of Cimarron, New Mexico. When drunk one night at a saloon, he killed 3 black soldiers because one of them was blocking the door. He was acquitted because he was drunk at the time. He was fined $50 for carrying a gun in the town though.
