Fun and Frippery

[Whimsical Poem Collection] -
For all the ‘fashionistas’!!! Joy and light-heartedness should never be underestimated. We can exercise it and our individuality each and every day in various ways. This piece brings a little of this idea into being.

Poem Wording:-

Fun and Frippery

A little bit of ‘frippery’ …
fashioned by life’s eccentricity;
or even a touch of … serendipity:
Let’s all enjoy … the exercise …
of some bit … of joyful frippery!

Like say ‘lipstick’ … gaudy on the lip … you see?!
Or that ‘bowler hat’, some think is … naff,
but you enjoy the fun of … like that!

The ‘band for your hair’, or a
‘noteworthy scarf’ you wear ….
Would you dare?!!

Why, yes. Of course. Why not?
Who should care?!
It’s you …. your individuality …
and your fun … and flair!

That ‘fancy jacket’, you ‘don’ … with a ‘bow’.
Well … I can be ever to ‘dapper’ … didn’t you know?

The ‘showy brooch’; or that, ‘flamboyant tie’:
How you wear, your ‘make-up’, on your eye!

The ‘fascinator hat’ … in elegant attire;
The ‘waistcoat’ added to … regular wear:

The ‘oversized ring’; that ‘necklace thing’:
Something. Anything, that just gives you …
or your outfit a zing!
Ping!!

For me, one exception would be the …
uncomfortable ‘high heel’, … a non-essential!
But, for you … it could represent
something … nearly existential!!

Ain’t life fun and mental?!!

So. Custom your costume …
with something just ‘done’ for the ‘feel’.
The ‘up’ it gives you ... living in zeal.
Celebrating your being.
Yes … you’re real!!
Enjoy some fun and frippery!
