Drozdovsky's glorious regiment went,
For the salvation of the nation,
They are paying a heavy toll.

General Drozdovsky bravely
Went with his regiment forward
Like a hero, he commanded boldly
For he wanted to save his Motherland.

He saw that Holy Rus'
Was dying under the yoke,
And like a wax candle,
Was fading day by day.

He believed that the time will come,
And the people will wake up.
They will throw off the barbarian burden
And they will follow us to fight.

The Drozdovites went with firm step,
The enemy fled under the onslaught,
And with the Russian Tricolor Flag
Glory to the Regiment that raised it.

We may return with gray hair
From our bloody labor.

A New Sun will rise."
