The US is Heavily Dependent on China on Critical Element for semiconductor

08/23/2023 Nicole on Winn Tucson China Watch: Last October, the Biden administration started a series of export controls, banning the CCP company from buying advanced chips and chip making equipment from the US. But the CCP retaliated by restricting the US from buying precious metal used for semiconductor, gallium and germanium. The problem is that the US is heavily dependent on China on these critical elements for semiconductors, and can’t even afford to sanction the CCP.
