"I've read the book and have to say that I'm extremely impressed by the sheer depth of research put in by Abdiel and by his clear and simple presentation. I know of his tendency to write poetry and to weave his output with (heretofore left-leaning) politics, biblical references and smatterings of Shakespeare and I was therefore all the more delighted to see his book untainted by overt political bias and presented simply as a series of the (fully cited) results of his research. The occasional biblical references (yes, there were a few) were nowhere out of place and were used to emphasise his view that such things as we now see are far from new, just a different flavour of the old ideas - some good, some bad.

A thoroughly educational read. I've known about an awful lot of this stuff from my own research over about 10 years and was delighted to find a substantial amount of new material (all of which public and properly referenced, as mentioned above).
