Rescue and recovery efforts on Maui are still underway and Glenn speaks with one of the men on the ground, Mercury One Executive Director J.P. Decker. He tells Glenn a range of hopeful and horrifying stories from his time on the island, including how distrusting the people of Maui are of the government (even at the county level) and how the community has come together to rebuild itself. "It changed my life," J.P. tells Glenn. "They are the definition of 'ohana,' which means family."
