“Leave it” doesn’t always address the issue

If you’re repeating “leave it!” or “look at me!” to your dog, you may not be addressing the real issue. You need to use your commands to do their actual job. If you’re not using your training to your benefit, your dog probably doesn’t know what they’re doing wrong. And by repeating a phrase to them over and over again you’re not going to get the ultimate result you want, which is your dog listening to you and understanding what you’re asking of them.
