Every night you sleep on your mattress and you do so for several years until you eventually buy a new mattress. But during this time, the mattress already becomes incredibly dirty and starts to stink. Because in hot summer nights you certainly sweat sometimes and all these things move into the mattress. But fortunately, you can easily clean the mattress with sodium bicarbonate. How exactly this works and what you need to consider, I'll show you in this video.

First, you should uncover your mattress once, if this is not already the case. Now you can work on stains first. It does not matter whether it is sweat or urine. Mix a paste with a little baking soda and a dash of vinegar to make a paste. This paste you can now rub with a cloth on the mattress and directly thereby the stain is removed! If you have removed all urine or sweat stains, you can take care of the entire mattress.

To do this, it is best to take a sieve, fill it with sodium bicarbonate and spread it over the entire mattress! After this step is done, you just have to wait a few hours. During this time, the baking soda can work and pull all the odors out of the mattress and clean it. After about 6 hours have passed, then you can easily vacuum the baking soda so that it is completely gone from the mattress. This makes the mattress much cleaner and the odors are also removed because baking soda binds odors.

So you can do this once every 1-2 months to clean your mattress!
