Do you have a stinky drain and want to get rid of the bad smell as soon as possible? Then I have a brilliant lifehack for you here. It doesn't matter if it's the drain in the kitchen, bathroom or shower. The procedure is always the same. All you need is some baking soda and vinegar. First, you should clean your drain of all visible debris. Once you've done that, take a packet of Kaiser baking soda (50 grams) and pour it down your stinky drain. Afterwards you tip about 150 ml. Vinegar afterwards. Both should work together immediately, you can hear and see that, because it foams quite a bit. Now you take a conventional cloth, moisten it and put it on your drain. So you can let the whole now once about 30 minutes to act.

When the time is up, take the wet cloth away and rinse with hot water. It is best to heat the water in a kettle beforehand, so that the hot water goes directly down the drain. After that, your drain should no longer stink, because all the dirt and grease was dissolved by this mixture and your drain is clean again.

To prevent this from happening in the future, you can flush your drain with hot water every now and then. Then most of the grease and dirt should dissolve before it starts to stink. You can also do the solution shown here with baking soda and vinegar regularly as a preventative measure. This will also prevent clogging.
