Mosquitoes can be a real nuisance that you want to get rid of as soon as possible. And instead of going around the room every night with a fly swatter, you can also get rid of mosquitoes with a few home remedies. To do this, we build a mosquito trap from ingredients we have at home. In this video I show you how it works!

You don't want to wake up at night by flying mosquitoes anymore. The sum is scary and you do not feel like being bitten? This mosquito trap to build yourself can help. You'll need a PET bottle, water, sugar, a yeast cube and some dishwashing liquid.

In the first step you cut off the upper third of the PET bottle. Now we mix a mixture that magically attracts mosquitoes. Take 200 ml of warm water, add about 15-20 grams of sugar and a little bit of the yeast cube. This mixture is then stirred thoroughly so that the sugar and yeast dissolve. Then pour this mixture into the lower part of the PET bottle. Add 1-2 drops of dishwashing liquid.

In the last step you take the upper part of the PET bottle, take off the lid once and put it into the lower part the wrong way round. So that the opening now points downwards in the direction of the mixture. The mosquito trap is ready!

The mosquitoes are now attracted by the mixture and fly into the opening of the bottle. Then they sit down on the water. But because of the rinsing agent they stick to it and can't get out! So you get rid of your mosquitoes and don't have to be afraid of being bitten anymore.

Be careful not to put the mosquito trap near an open window. Otherwise you would attract even more mosquitoes. Also, do not place the mosquito trap near you. Otherwise you will attract the mosquitoes to you and maybe they will decide for you and against the mosquito trap.
