Have You Hit A Firewall? Fit a V8 HEI In A Tri-5 Or Other GM/C & Can't Move Distributor? Ugly Fix!

I did some motor & transmission work and didn't realize the HEI distributor was hitting the bulkhead/firewall so hard but it would not move at all. So many ways out of this.... bind, but I picked the most dangerous but CHEAP way out. Carefully cut a hole and seal it with Pella tape! It gives the extra one inch one needs to rotate the distributor for a perfect tune. It's hard and messy but it works!
