‘I was tortured in Mariupol for three days. I was beaten on the arms, legs, head, and neck with a bat. Then I was tasered.’ Hieromonk Feofan, a priest from Nikolskoye, DPR, talks about the tortures he went through.

He was kidnapped from the monastery by Ukrainian special services for helping the militia’s intelligence. ‘When they released me, I had just one thought: ‘Thank God I’m alive. Because others weren’t so lucky.’

Now Feofan considers it his duty to document all the damage and destruction made by the Ukrainian army.
