Simple Woodworking Mallet

I've never had a need for a wooden mallet because I like using the rubber kind, but I thought it would be a fun project to make my own - and it was! I built the mallet out of maple for strength but added some purple heart for appearance. This was a perfect project to use up some scraps I've been sitting on for a while. Even though building a mallet is so simple, it's rewarding to use something you built.
