About Today's Guests: Brenda Hunter, Ph.D and Kristen Blair
The late Brenda Hunter, Ph.D., was a psychologist and internationally published author. She earned her Ph.D. in psychology from Georgetown University, and worked as a therapist in private practice in Virginia and Raleigh, NC. She wrote or co-wrote 14 books, including "The Power of Mother Love," "In the Company of Women," and "From Santa to Sexting," co-authored with her daughter, Kristen Blair. Dr. Hunter was a specialist in infant attachment, and was nationally recognized as an expert on the issue of full-time mothering. She appeared on programs such as CBS This Morning, Sally Jessy Raphael, and Larry King Live. She was the co-founder of Home by Choice, a support network for mothers at home. Dr. Hunter went home to be with the Lord on September 27, 2017.

Kristen Blair is an education columnist and writer. She co-authored the book, "From Santa to Sexting," with her mother, family advocate and child psychology expert, the late Dr. Brenda Hunter. Kristen’s articles have appeared in numerous publications, including the Charlotte Observer, the Durham Herald-Sun, and Carolina Journal. Kristen has worked on family and educational policy at the national level for the federal government, a presidential commission, and Empower America. She and her husband, Greg, are the parents of two children, and they live in Chapel Hill, North Carolina.
