The Australian Government is increasing the Temporary Skilled Migration Income Threshold (TSMIT) from $53,900 to $70,000 from 1 July 2023. Unchanged since year 2013, approximately 90 percent of all full-time jobs in Australia are now paid higher than the present TSMIT, undermining skilled migration system of the land down under.
