"This is an EMERGENCY" - Putin calls emergency meeting over falling Russian Ruble | Redacted

"The dollar is up 60% to the Russian ruble, which had been gaining power since the conflict in Ukraine began. If you track these things, the dollar has been buying about 80 rubles or so in recent months and it jumped to over 100 rubles this week.

Russia's central bank held an emergency meeting this week and raised interest rates to 12% from 8%.
