I was recently asked if the demonetization policies affect what I publish. I like to think they don't but I did recall this one project I put on hold. I don't want to self-censor so I'm publishing it now. I think it's a solid introduction but it's a much longer work in progress! For those whose gut reaction is to be offended, please don't be. This is a real effort to discover the history of "retarded". I've never used the word as a slur or to bully someone with intellectual disabilities. It is just a word. I just wish to discuss the word. And if you give me a chance, I think you will have to agree, the word has an incredible story to tell!
