Starmer has made the Mandelson & Epstein scandal an even bigger issue.

Starmer's Labour have suspended the mayor of Hackney over association with a convicted sex offender. So what about Mandy?
Right, so Keir Starmer’s Labour has opened up an epic sized can of worms for itself here and thrust the whole Peter Mandelson and Jeffrey Epstein relationship right back into focus because they’ve just suspended one of their own for associating with a known sex offender and let’s face it, Epstein was just a little bit more than one of those wasn’t he?
The story this time is associated with the news about Thomas Dewey, the Hackney Labour Council candidate, who was allowed to stand and run as a Labour councillor, despite being investigated for possession and manufacture of indecent images of children. Dewey appeared in Uxbridge Magistrates Court in July of this year and pleaded guilty to five charges of making and possessing child abuse images, one charge of making or downloading five category A images of children, the most serious, as well as charges of making 41 category B images and 203 category C images. Dewey was elected, but resigned within days, triggering a by-election. I’ve covered this story elsewhere, I’ll not go back into the detail of that again here. However there have been events continuing to unfold and now no less than the Labour mayor of Hackney, Philip Glanville, has been suspended by the Labour Party as images have surfaced of him having attended a Eurovision Party with Dewey, which had been taken some two weeks after the Labour Party itself had been made aware of the allegations against Dewey. It perhaps shouldn’t be such a great surprise that at the time Labour did nothing, it apparently went to lengths to gag people speaking out against Dewey from a safeguarding perspective, even threatening some with disciplinary action if they discussed the case, but upon being convicted, it seems the Labour right are no longer as wedded to protecting Dewey, from the right wing Labour To Win faction as he was. As a result of these images surfacing, Labour have now suspended their Hackney mayor’s membership. But by this very action, questions have again arisen as to why Peter Mandelson is still a party member of good standing, with his well known links to not only a child sex abuser, but a child trafficker in Jeffrey Epstein. Why is his membership intact and not Philip Glanville’s? This is surely more than just hypocrisy we’re talking about here, this is out and out exceptionalism from the very top, since Mandelson is an advisor to Keir Starmer.
