forgot to mention the part I'm "sort of on board with" and that's having a more equitable distribution of people having 2 children which is slightly lower than replacement rate, and less people having 5-10 kids, replacement rate is apparently 2.1-2.4 so if people were better off and could rely on their children surviving and thriving then they could afford to have 2 kids more often, and 1 or 3 on occasion, the main culprits of overpopulation are africa/middle east and south america at the moment, if overpopulation is a genuine issue then let's have them do their part to limit population along with everyone else, and meanwhile let's get it so more families and individuals can have 1-2 kids in the other areas of the world that are dwindling currently
