The truth can be hard to accept. Sometimes we hold onto beliefs or perceptions about people, relationships or situations that we've convinced ourselves are real. But in reality, they are illusions. Letting go of those illusions and facing the truth is one of the most difficult things we have to do in life.

We don't know what will be left of ourselves once we release our grip on what we thought was real.

But we must remember that illusions are insubstantial. They cannot sustain us. Only truth can set us on solid ground again, however broken we may feel at first. The truth has a way of revealing itself when the time is right, and when it comes we have no choice but to face it if we want to gain wisdom and find peace. Letting go is the only way forward.
