Salvation comes as a decision to set ourselves aside, repent from our disobedience, which is sin, and place yourself at His mercy, and turn your life over to Him.

This is what salvation is.

Now there will be many people who call Jesus Lord but really don‘t live as though Jesus is their Lord. They may just refer to him as Lord so they think they can get what they want in life. God is not a fool. He is not fooled by those who call him Lord but still are only worshipping themselves and show no love to others as He asks us.
