Dudley Do-Right: Stokey the Bear

This originally appeared on "THE BULLWINKLE SHOW" in October 1961...and immediately earned the wrath of the U.S. Forest Service, who threatened legal action against Jay Ward, NBC, and anyone else associated with the show. To placate them, Ward agreed to remove this episode from all future rebroadcasts of the series, and the later "DUDLEY DO-RIGHT SHOW/AND FRIENDS" reissues (he even animated a 1969 PSA featuring Bullwinkle reciting a poem in honor of "Smokey the Bear").
