A FIVE-LINED SKINK (08/24/23)

This is the first video I recorded of a skink that I caught in the loft of a barn on 08/24/23 at 9:20 A.M. It is either a broad-headed skink (Plestiodon laticeps) or a five-lined skink (Plestiodon fasciatus). Howbeit, the tail was severely damaged when the lizard ran between a door and doorframe as the door was closing. Since then, it has broken off the tail. Fortunately, the lizard seems otherwise unharmed, and can grow a new tail.
