Because it is perhaps one of the simpler treks in the Annapurna Sanctuary, the Poon Hill climb is becoming more and more well-liked. It's a fantastic route to walk for novice hikers and for those who just want to sample Nepali hiking. There is no need to worry about getting lost, or not being able to find a place to stay or eat because the journey can be completed in 3 or 4 days, the route is clearly defined, and there are several guesthouses and restaurants along the way and quite a few people. Before attempting one of the more difficult trails like the Annapurna Circuit or the Annapurna Base Camp trek, the Poon Hill is a fantastic trail to complete as an acclimatization trip.
