Is China's Economy About To Collapse? Bitcoiners Discuss.

The Economic Situation in China has recently been attracting more attention, as a result of several economic indicators showing worrying signs.

Despite it's robust growth over several decades, there have long been worries about how much has been fuelled by unsustainable amounts of debt, money printing, and the resultant over-production / malinvestment, particularly in the all-important real-estate sector.

That said, many opportunities have been missed, and many macro commentators embarrassed, by predicting a 'China crash' that never comes.

Given the precarious economic situation that prevails everywhere in the world today, as well as China's massive influence on the global economic situation, I thought it would be interesting to dig into it with two experienced commentators.

Peter St Onge is an economist at the Heritage Foundation and Fellow of the Mines Institute, who has recently been on the bearish side of China's situation.

Peter Alexander is a 30-year China veteran and founder of Z-Ben Advisors, and generally tries to bring nuance to what he believes to be incomplete or biased 'Western' perspectives on China.
