The National Citizens Inquiry testimony of Kim Hunter, an early childhood education teacher for over 25 years.
When Kim was a young child, she could not wear a mask on Halloween like the other children. It made her feel suffocated to the point of passing out. When the mandates arrived, she was able to get a mask exemption, but the harassment didn't stop. She started doing research on mask use for children and the negative impacts it had on them. From breathing difficulties to elevated heart rate, these were just a few of the effects.
Kim talks about the United Nations declaration on the rights of children, reading out the legal obligation to protect children.
She says liability must be supported.
Children need special safeguard and care because they can not do it for themselves.
Things like facial expression and eye contact are pivotal to their early development. The long-term effects are still unknown but we have to be prepared for the future to deal with any potential outcome. Moving forward, Kim says we have a great need for reconciliation from all the damage covid restrictions have caused Canadians.
Kim was very nervous but gave an excellent presentation on behalf of children everywhere who were subjected to wearing a mask.
