Scott Ritter Show Ep. 44

On episode 44 of the show we are joined by Yevgeny Balitsky, former People's Deputy of Ukraine and presently an acting governor of the Zaporozhye Oblast. Balitsky was born in Melitopol (USSR), he is a graduate of the Tambov Higher Military Aviation School. Balitsky was appointed as governor of the region on 9 May 2022, following the capture of Melitopol by Russian forces. He later became a member of the United Russia political party and on 20 September 2022 signed a decree to hold referendum, on entry of the territory entrusted to him into the Russian Federation. Notably in January 2023, the Oblast administration had established the ‘Pavel Sudoplatov Battalion’ where Balitsky's son then joined as a soldier.
